N-Trust Care Services are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced care professional for an exciting role in the Birmingham area working in the capacity of a Carers Emergency Response Worker. The role is Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week with On Call duties as part of a rota, some unsocial hours maybe required therefore the candidate will need to be flexible to meet the demands of this exciting role.

This role would involve working in both an office base and within community settings completing assessments and supporting with the new client process and would suit someone looking for a career or progression from their current role. The Carers Emergency Responses Worker would be accountable for the provision of emergency respite services throughout the Birmingham area, this role would be varied, interesting and would ensure no two days are the same. The workload and diary would be dictated to by the fluid nature of the service users who utilise the services.

Role Overview

  • Provide comprehensive support to service users within any given service
  • Being available to respond too emergency situations as required by the service
  • Respond to emergency call outs in a manner consistent with policies and procedures
  • Completion of initial assessments as well as on going review of care and support plans including risk assessments
  • Ensure that timely and accurate reports on clients services are provided by management
  • Attend staff meetings, staff training and relevant staff appraisal’s
  • Use of basic IT platform’s to include Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook
  • Assist with all aspects of support

  • Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months UK experience within a care setting of a similar nature
  • Good level of both written and spoken English
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Willing to undertake any necessary training
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to fund an enhanced DBS check
  • MUST be a car driver with own transport and Class 1 business insurance cover
  • Highly Desirable Requirements
  • QCF/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
